Balms in winter: the secret of a soft and nourished skin

Balms in winter, the secret of a soft and nourished skin

Your skin is probably dry. It may even be itchy or irritated because of the winter, the cold and the temperature variations your skin experiences. There are miracle treatments that will quickly heal your skin: face and body balms!

Winter does affect your skin. But what exactly happens? It's a combination of several things that damage your skin. The air outside is drier, while the heaters inside remove the water present in your skin.  As a result of the decrease in humidity: the skin dehydrates more quickly. The hydrolipidic film that protects it is less effective.

What are balms?

In the face of skin dehydration, there are simple solutions to take care of your skin and help it maintain its hydrolipidic film: balms. They are moisturizing and nourishing skincare products with an oily and creamy texture.

If balms work so well, it's because they contain enough botanical oils and glycerin to nourish the skin throughout the day.
Used in SOS treatments, they quickly and effectively repair the most damaged skin and the most affected areas, such as elbows or knees, for example.

By rebuilding the hydrolipidic film, the skin is less irritated and itches less. You find all the comfort you need to spend the winter in peace!

Face balms

No matter whether your facial skin is dry on the way home from skiing or after a working day, it deserves to be soothed immediately.
It feels tight, even tighter when you get out of the shower. It also has redness that only makes the discomfort you feel worse!

In this case, a cream - even a rich one - may no longer be enough. It’s necessary to use excellent means and use a balm so that it envelops the skin and rebuilds the hydrolipidic film quickly.

Our tip: apply a generous amount of the balm just before going to sleep, on the driest areas of the face. The next day, your skin will be soothed, suppler and more comfortable!

The balm we recommend is Jowaé Soothing Repairing Balm

There are 5 things we particularly like about it:

✽ It's 99% natural
✽ It can be used both on the face & body.
✽ It can be used by the whole family, from the age of 3 years.
✽ It combines miracle ingredients: regenerating Centella Asiatica extract, hyaluronic acid and plant-based glycerin.
✽ It does not contain paraben, silicone, phenoxyethanol or synthetic dyes!

Body balms

Body skin, while being less exposed to the cold, also suffers from a drop in temperature. As a result, the skin is mainly dry on the legs, arms... You even notice that you have dead skin than usual. That's because the hydrolipidic film no longer sufficiently moisturizes and nourishes the skin, which regenerates much less well.

On certain areas without sebaceous glands - those that produce the famous hydrolipidic film - it's even worse: elbows, knees, heels or hands are mainly dry.

No longer able to protect themselves, they need a helping hand.
By applying a balm every night before going to sleep, your skin has time to absorb the care and regenerate itself properly. By repeating the operation several times in a row, your skin will be more comfortable, supple and beautiful again!

The balm we recommend: Soothing Nourishing Balm

Why do we love him?
Because at the heart of this treatment, there’s a nutritious and moisturizing cocktail that is particularly effective. It contains

✽ camellia oil, a precious beauty oil rich in fatty acids and omega 9, combined with a nutritive complex composed of
✽ shea butter, safflower oil, beeswax, vegetable glycerin and vitamin E.

Together, they form a protective film that soothes and repairs the skin.

In short, you can see that there are simple and practical solutions to take care of your skin, even in winter. Don't forget that you must never let your skin dry out and become uncomfortable: it can become increasingly sensitive and, above all, can age prematurely. It's up to you!
